Lake Superior Provincial Park

The winners of the 2009 Lake Superior Provincial Park photo contest have been picked. We would like to thank all those who took the time to send in their favourite pictures from their visits to the park. The judges enjoyed looking at the photos and it has got them looking forward to getting out in the park this summer.

The winning photos capture the essence of Lake Superior Provincial Park: the wild shore as seen on the Coastal Hiking Trail; the joy and excitement of swimming in the biggest lake in the world; finding a quiet place to be on your own; seeing the largest animal in the park – the moose; and ending the day with a sunset at Agawa Bay.

The winners will be notified of their prizes by email or postal mail. The winning pictures and many others from the contest will be used on this home page of the Friends of Lake Superior Park website.

There will be a photo contest for 2010. Check the park’s summer newspaper; this website; and our blog (lakesuperiorpp.wordpress.com) for more information. We encourage everyone to enter digital images – it makes it easier for us to manage the entries for the contest.
